Seeding Policy
1. Seed points shall be awarded to the top six placing teams in each age division as follows:
1st Place - 10 Points
2nd Place - 7 Points
3rd Place - 5 Points
4th Place - 4 Points
5th Place - 2 Points
6th Place - 1 Point
2. When determining the seeds, the chairman shall use the previous years results for the age division being computed, and the results of the youngest age division.

Therefore, 15U Seeding for the current year would be:

| 2nd Seed | Tar Heel Runners | 12 Points |
| 3rd Seed | Asheville Tar heels | 10 Points |
| 4th Seed | Carolina Dunkers | 7 Points |
| 5th Seed | Mountain Flyers | 5 Points |
| 6th Seed | Piedmont Shooters | 4 Points |
| 7th Seed | Raleigh Lasers | 2 Points |
| 8th Seed | Coastline Lions | 2 Points |
| 9th Seed | Winston Kings | 1 Point |
If clubs have the same number of seed points, the club placing highest in the younger age division will be seeded higher. (See example above for 7th and 8th Seed)
3. The top seed becomes the #1 team in Pool A; the second seed is #1 in Pool B, etc.
4. If there are more seeded teams than pools, the extra teams will be placed in the lower seeded pools (in paragraph 2 example, in a pool tournament, seed #9 would be with #7, and #8 with #6.
5. Unseeded teams will be placed by draw. Returning teams will be drawn first then new teams.
6. Clubs which enter more teams than one team in a tournament should designate the seed team.

7. The winner of the pool (whether seeded or not) will advance to the bracket set to receive the seed of that pool, (i.e.: the winner pool A will always advance to the top seed bracket, B winner to 2nd seed bracket, etc.)
8. This system should:
a. Provide for competitive balance
b. Encourage clubs to compete in multiple age groups
